Tennessee Comptroller Performance Audit Of The State Board Of Probation And Parole

The Tennessee Office of the Comptroller conducted the audit in part to determine whether probation and parole officers were monitoring offenders as required and to determine whether probation and parole officers with GPS caseloads were monitoring and following up on alarms as required by policy. The audit also assessed other functions of the state Board of Probatin and Parole and how the board ensures that offenders are notified of appeal rights, risk factors included in technical violation decision-making, whether decisions are consistent, and other topics.
