This OPEN MINDS Executive Roundtable was delivered on February 1, 2024 by Will Jones, President and Chief Executive Officer for Thompson Child & Family Focus. He discussed how he used leadership development and a coaching culture to keep Thompson from closing. Thompson, founded in 1886, was suffering from a $4 million annual loss and no programmatic growth. Under Mr. Jones’ leadership, the organization began a transformation journey by focusing on the development and evolution of an organizational culture built on the foundations of leadership and coaching. The result: Thompson saw a 20% annual growth and a multi-state footprint in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida; grew from 185 employees to 420 employees; and grew from $8.5 million in annual revenue to over $40 million. He will also discuss where Thompson plans to be in five years, along with the beliefs, practices, and tools used by the organization to achieve its success.
