This OPEN MINDS Executive Roundtable was delivered on June 6, 2024 by Stuart Buttlaire, Ph.D., Regional Director of Behavioral Health and Addiction Medicine at Kaiser Permanente. He discussed the underlying principles and framework supporting feedback-informed care and patient-centered outcomes and provided insights into enhancing your organization’s practices for optimal results.
In patient-centered care, a consumer’s specific health needs and outcomes drive all health care decisions and quality metrics. In feedback-informed care, the relationship between the consumer and clinical professional is leveraged to promote patient-centered communication and allow the provider organization to know what consumers both need and want.
Executive attendees of this session learned:
- Why no one theoretical approach or discipline can claim superiority over others
- Why patient-centered approaches improve clinical outcomes
- How other organizations are putting feedback-informed care into practice
