Atlas Of Integrated Behavioral Health Care Quality Measures: Integration Framework & Associated Core Measures

In June 2013, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) published the first phase of an initiative to develop measures to assess the quality of integrated care in 11 functional domains related to clinical functions, enabling functions, and outcomes. The atlas aims to support the field of integrated behavioral health care measurement by: 1. Presenting a framework for understanding measurement of integrated care; 2. Providing a list of existing measures relevant to integrated behavioral health care; and 3. Organizing the measures by the framework and by user goals to facilitate selection of measures. Nine previously developed quality measures validated for other applications, were selected because they have components that describe specific structural characteristics, actions, and outcomes that can be observed during integrated behavioral health care. The report describes each measure and how they apply to each functional domain.
